The State of Vorarlberg on the Internet

The 29th Vorarlberg State Parliament was elected directly by the population of Vorarlberg on 20 September 2009. The 36 deputies have a free mandate, the legislative period is 5 years. In addition to State legislation, budget sovereignty and the control of the government and administration are central functions of the State Parliament. 

As president of the State Parliament of Vorarlberg I am particularly concerned to secure the important role of this parliament invested in it by the constitution and by the electoral mandate well into the future. The devotion to their region which the citizens of Vorarlberg have developed over hundreds of years is, in my opinion, far more important than the size of a country. 

We have to face up to the challenges of our time, work together to find solutions and always act in the interest of the citizens of our region.
