Article 26
Participation of non-members in sessions of the State Parliament and its committees
(1) Members of the State Government have the right to participate in the sessions of the State Parliament and its committees. They are obliged to participate if requested to do so by the State Parliament or its committees. With the agreement of the State Parliament, or the appropriate committee, they may be accompanied by officials of the Office of the State Government where the subjects under discussion fall within their portfolio.
(2)
The State administration director and the chief executive of the chancellery of the State Parliament are entitled to take part in sessions of the State Parliament and its committees. They may be excluded, by decision, from participating in confidential sessions.
(3) The State Parliament and its committees may invite the participation of experts, persons with relevant information and representatives of specific interests. Committees may also request the participation of officials of the State Government Office in their sessions.
