Article 17

Convening the first session

   The newly elected State Parliament assembles for its first session no later than the third Tuesday after the day of the election. It is convened by the most senior member of the outgoing State Parliament executive committee. If no member of the outgoing State Parliament executive committee belongs to the new State Parliament, it falls to the oldest member of the new State Parliament to convene it. The convener temporarily takes the chair.
