Tasks of the youth welfare department in the Office of the State Government of Vorarlberg:

In planning and control we are consciously and actively involved in social development in the area of family, children and youth. This takes place on the basis of:

• qualitative und quantitative representation and documentation,
• the networking and coordination of forces,
• the initiation of the necessary aid programs,
• the evaluation of the existing aid program, both in terms of the overall aims and tasks as well as in concrete, individual cases.

Assurance of expertise, efficiency and economy.

Another part of our work involves prevention. The aim is to avoid negative development in children and youths. 

Approval of free youth welfare facilities and of sheltered accommodation, homes and other facilities responsible for the care and education of children and youths.

A wide range of tasks are fulfilled by the following agencies.
