Addiction coordination:

The addiction coordination function area lies within the Office of the State Government of Vorarlberg, department IVa – Society and Social Affairs and has the task of implementing the declared aims and measures of primary, secondary and tertiary prevention in Vorarlberg's drugs concept. It is also responsible for the further development of Vorarlberg's drugs concept.    
 
The main task of addiction coordination is to assume a management and intermediary role between the State Government, drugs officers, authorities and the various facilities involved in helping addicts, as well as the coordination of and collaboration with the central areas particularly affected  by drugs policy including, health, social welfare, education and security. 

The function area must ensure that all of the available resources are used in the optimum manner. Its task is to coordinate the existing measures, programs and activities in terms of content, institutions, personnel and effects and to complement them as necessary. 

The function area is also responsible for collaboration in the elaboration of concepts, the planning, organisation and implementation of projects, campaigns and events, publicity work, crisis intervention and focussed problem resolution.
