Special achievements with the local security police have been rewarded with medals since 1975.

The State Government of Vorarlberg is responsible for the awards.

Description and wear

The Medal for Special Achievements with the Local Security Police is moulded in bronze, silver-plated and has a diameter of 34 mm. On the front it bears the coat of arms of Vorarlberg and the circular inscription "State of Vorarlberg". The rear side bears the inscription "For special achievements with the local security police".

The medal is worn on a red-white triangular band or as a band in the form of a narrow strip on the left side of the breast.
