The State of Vorarlberg on the Internet

The sports department in the Landhaus determines the focal points for sport in Vorarlberg.  Sportinformation Vorarlberg (www.siv.at - link to German page) in Dornbirn is responsible for the project level. Regular meetings with trainers provide an insight into sport practice. The sports medicine advisory committee coordinates sport medicine while Olympics medallist Mario Reiter is responsible for the various promotion models. The sports committee is the legally provided advisory organ of the State Government.

Vorarlberg has clear and transparent guidelines for the promotion of sport in the state which are drawn up in agreement with the sports committee, the sporting events organisers and the various experts and regularly adapted to suit the given circumstances.
