Sport offers an extensive and attractive field of activity, not only for children and young people. Vorarlberg is committed to encouraging its young athletes, promoting talent and providing modern sports facilities.

In Vorarlberg sport is more than just a word. The facts offer impressive proof of this:

• Every second person in Vorarlberg participates at least occasionally in sport
• One third of the citizens of Vorarlberg are a member in one of over 870 sports clubs
• More than 9,000 are involved in voluntary work in the clubs
• Around 1,900 trainers and coaches work with over 30,000 youths
• Around 1,500 sporting events and competitions take place in Vorarlberg every year

Vorarlberg has clear and transparent guidelines (see applications and forms) for the promotion of sport in the State which are drawn up in agreement with the sports committee, the sporting events organisers and the various experts and regularly adapted to suit the given circumstances.
