Waste avoidance
Every form of waste material is a burden on our environment. Although a large proportion of waste can be sorted and recycled, this is only the second best solution. It is even better if the waste does not arise in the first place based on the principle that "no waste is the best waste". This puts less pressure on the environment.

In Vorarlberg over  67.6% of waste material is recycled. This makes us the recycling leader in Austria. It was possible to reduce the residual waste volume by over 5,000 t. Recyclable materials such as plastic, paper, glass and metal increased in the same period to over 11,500 t. This means an additional waste volume of 6,500 t. This is why we believe "recycling is good, avoidance is better".
